"Shotgun" Dick Cheney rides again
Well, Dick, do you believe in karma? (I'm sure it believes in you though, Dick.) How about horrifibly poignant irony at the very least? Well if a shotgun blast to your 78 year old buddy's face doesn't convince you, I don't know what will.
Also of note is how the White House tried to cover up this little boner.

Carson Daily strikes again.
Oh Jesus Sam, get off your high horse. The vice president shot a man in the face, which is funny, very funny in fact. The only thing that would make it funnier would be if he had shot him with a bazooka.
The White House predictably tried to downplay it, which too is funny. Nobody thinks it's a conspiracy, but having to find out about it through the ranch owner and not the White House is par for the course for these jokers.
Misread controversy and conspiracy, my apologies. That's what you get for putting "cover up" in quotes.
Oh, you didn't just go there with an ego crack. Attn: Pot, nevermind the Kettle. My intention was to try and deflate the irony bubble formed from you getting all indignant over people getting indignant over this story.
Besides, I think this story deserves every bit of press it gets.
Points of order:
1. They weren't in a zoo hunting from cars, they were quail hunting on a ranch in Texas. That means they were walking in a line across a field looking to scare up birds. While I'm sure the ranch provides feed for the birds to keep them around, they certainly weren't tied down or kept in a pen.
2. Small foul move quickly and usually low to the ground. Cheney, not being a very good hunter, didn't remember what his zones of fire were, and instead followed the bird without paying attention to where his gun was pointed. The bird probably moved quickly to his right or left and Cheney turned with it, right to were his buddy was standing. A dumb, DUMB, mistake, but it probably happens more than you'd think. If you've ever seen Master & Commander, think about the scene where the ship's doctor gets shot.
I'd recommend Mr. Cheney take a certified hunter's safety training course before he goes out again.
anyone ever think that the administration actually planned the whole thing, with the intent to divert the public from other issues -- like war and health care, for example. If so, it worked, at least for awhile.
aw, forget it. It's too much of a stretch to think that they planned to get some guy shot, etc. etc. They don't have guys working behind the scenes on stuff like this, ... or... maybe they do -- after all, Karl Rove has to do something between elections....
